I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bobby and sitting with him for a little while just talking. I hope to again this summer.

I’d love to hear him preach, but I didn’t know he was back in Waynesboro now.

Well it is neither, it is Pinckley. But we are all talking about the same man. That spelling, and he did work at Beacon for a few years.

Is it Bobby Pinkley or Prinkley? I led singing for Bobby Pinkley one time for a gospel meeting at the Beacon Church of Christ where I was song leader/associate minister while David Lipe was preaching there.

Anyway, I really loved being around brother Pinkley that week. If they are two different folks, then I suppose the world has been double-blessed.

I am glad to claim Bobby as a friend as well. We were classmates at Freed-Hardeman but I refuse to claim I am as old as he is! He was already married with a family then.

But it has been my privilege to work with him in a number of situations. He always was an encouragement and a blessing. I never saw a more hand and glove situation than that which he enjoyed at Waynesboro but it appears, Matthew, that you are developing that kind of relationship. Congratulations!

I’m not surprised, but it still makes me sad. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all focus on Christ and minister to this world TOGETHER! Relationship is key to ministry, rivalry has the opposite effect. Thanks for making me think about and pray for my spiritual mentor this morning – David Harrelson!

Matthew, nothing has really changed in 2000 years. As the apostles sat around Jesus they argued over which was going to be the greatest.

I would have to agree with you about Bobby whole-heartedly. It was a little intimidating to me when he came back and began to attend our Wednesday night class. I felt like I was teaching with the teacher present. I began to realize this was not a bad thing. Bobby brings such a wealth of knowledege, which he adds so appropriately to our class. To me, his spiritual leadership ranks right there with my dad. It is good for Waynesboro to have Bobby back.
