A Needed Update
Wow, it has been so long for me writing a blog post that I believe I might need a lesson on how to do it. Well, everyone here is a little update on what I have been up to in life. Two weeks ago I was on a plane heading to Nashville. Not really Nashville, just had time to get a car and go to Memphis. Sadly, there are some people that I like to see while in town, but did not have any time. So I was heading to Memphis for my last class in the Doctorate of Ministry program. Yes, last class. It was the Leadership Development class, which was excellent with a huge “E” on it. This was a wonderfully practical and helpful class. It was more than information, but the professor really caused us to think through the issues and the complexity. The more I do ministry that more I see the complexity of it all. The best leaders can see this and do something about it. So the class went great, and it was fun being in Memphis. I also spoke in chapel. It seems that mostly when I am in town, I do this now. It seemed to go well. Then from there I headed to a conference, the conference was excellent and I enjoyed it much. I got to go to a new area of the world that I have never been to before, and it was great seeing some of the sights, but mostly being in a church building teaching and preaching. I stayed with a wonderful family, and was treated highly well. Great time. It seems that the Lord is opening a ton of doors for me to speak around this great nation. My elders support this because they see it as part of their ministry as well. I got to see some old friends, which was so nice. It took me back to the day. I praise God that he uses me in his kingdom.
