A Prayer Party

http://www.stbartschurch.co.uk/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/power-of-prayer.jpgThis past weekend, I was at one of the member’s homes.  This couple invited some special people over to the house to have a prayer party.  It was an opportunity for a special group of people who are part of the Castle Rock congregation to come together for fellowship and food, but the most important work was done together in praying for God’s empowerment for the Castle Rock congregation.  This is a special team that has a special project.  We believe that great things are happening at Castle Rock.  We are seeing huge growth, we started the year with an average of 194 and this past Sunday we had 256.  God is at work in this church.  But we are not content with being average.  Since God provides the growth, we are praying that He empowers the congregation for a glorious future.  A future of added souls to the kingdom of God, a future of positive balance in doctrine, a great unity in the congregation, and a superb love for the Son of God.  We believe all of these great works will be done on the foundation of prayer.  We are blessed to have a team of members that are dedicating themselves to praying for the congregation.  Thank you team and thank you leader of this team.  You prayers are going to be seen in years to come.

That is a great idea. We recently hosted in our house a “prayer party” based on Acts 4.23-31 for some people with Clay Neigborhood Church. We too believe that our ability to grow, evangelizes, ministry, and make disciples is predicated upon God’s work in us — and thus the need for being a praying church.

    BTW,

My family and I came down to Castle Rock Sunday evening to listen to you preach:-)…we found out that you all do not have a Sunday evening service on the 5th Sunday’s of the month. Oh well…it gave us some family time together and an excuse to grab a bite to eat together.

    We’ll visit some other time.

    Grace and peace,

    Rex

I hate that we missed you. We would love to have you and your family with us sometime. In fact, I would love to have you and the whole mission team with us some Sunday morning at Castle Rock. Let us host you some time. Let do this soon.
