Castle Rock is Progressing Well
The work at Castle Rock is going well. We are increasing the attendance on almost every Sunday morning services. We are having a lot of visitors and people coming to see the great work that is taking place in the congregation. This week the ministers and the elders are going on a retreat to a real Castle in Colorado Springs for a time of reflection and planning for the coming year. We are busy getting the work accomplished in the congregation. Plus, I am doing my annual congregational hockey trip this month. We have 51 people coming on it. I have been busy writing as this quarter I was published in the adult Bible quarterly called “Powerpoints for New Life.” This is published by 21st Century (thank you Dale Jenkins for asking me to participate in this.) Also, this month I was published in the Rocky Mountain Christian as a guest editorial (Thank you Ron Carter for the opportunity). I am starting to make some inroads into the community as I am joining Toastmasters and have looked into Rotary. Hopefully I will also join a hockey league in the community for next season. Also, Steven Curo and me are making plans to eat lunch with most of the local ministers. And, I am reading like a madman for school. I am going to be in Memphis on Feb. 28 to March 6 for a class on Crisis, change, and conflict for the Doctorate of Ministry degree. Hopefully, I will continue to laid a solid foundation so that the church will continue to have positive growth in the future. I am amazed about how fast we are developing right now.

I am sort of envious (in a nice way). When I came to the Kandiyohi CoC, there seemed to be a lot of momentum moving the right way. Then, for a congregation of 50 members, we had three different families move away. That kills a lot of momentum.
Any ways, I am glad everything is off to a great start. Enjoy your ministry, God is always with you!
Grace and peace,
Rex
