Future Great Leaders
We hear names thrown around church buildings like N.B. Hardeman, Foy E. Wallace, G.C. Brewer, and maybe Guy N. Woods. These men had a significant voice in the development of the church. I personally want to highlight some of the preachers, that I might not personally know well, that will have a positive impact on the future of the church. If you are not on this quick list, it is not because I do not admire you.
David Powell–He is a preacher and teacher. This man amazes me with his people skills and positive attitude. If more ministers had his big heart, the church would be growing two-fold. He is the master minister.
Kirk Brothers–He is a man who is super smart; he is a man that can preach. He is busy about the kingdom business. But even though he does not know me well, he always seems to have time when I call.
Keith Parker–I do not know Keith, but when I see him around, he is positive and friendly. I admire him because he preaches on FHU’s and Lipscomb’s lectureships. He is a positive example of unity.
There are more men that I admire in the church that I will highlight in a different blog.

David Powell was one of my favorite professors at FHU. He was also the ONLY one of my professors who approached me with a congratulatory word after I had announced my decision to study elsewhere for my M.Div.
He supported me more than basically anyone else there. And it has meant the world to me.
Funny how a 1 minute conversation can last this long as a powerful reminder of one man’s fidelity to his students, not his institution.
I wish I loved people the way he does. Don’t you?
(Ok, I’m going to try this again since WordPress hates me:)
I agree 100%, Great guys and great preachers.
David is the master of making you feel important. There is no small people in his world.
