Going to Nova Scotia

cbh_aerialIt has been about three years since I have been home to Nova Scotia.  My brother is getting married and I am doing the wedding for him and his future bride.  The wedding is going to be at the lake house.  It will be relaxing to be home again.  I am looking forward to reading, boating, playing, and visiting with family.  Of course, I am looking forward to some of the foods as you cannot get good and cheap lobster here in Colorado.  It will be wonderful to see the rough coast line of Nova Scotia again.  While I am there, I will also be preaching at the Kentville church of Chirst.  This was the first congregation I ever preached a sermon in and it was bad, really bad.  Most of the people that were there are gone, but I still get this magical feeling every time I stand up and proclaim the message of the Lord there.  I did not grow up in this congregation, in fact, I was not even baptized in this congregation, but this was the congregation that loved me during the first few months of my conversion.  I was not in Nova Scotia long as a Christian because I left home to preach the gospel.  It always feels great to reconnect with my roots, and remember the journey that I have been on for God.  There are a few congregations that I would love to preach for again.  I would love to go back to Camp Wood, TX and preach for the people there.  I was baptized in this building and did my first ministry there as a intern.  I would love to go back to Granbury Street church of Christ in Texas too as I started working with this congregation while at Brown Trail.  There is also a little church called the Cool Springs congregation that I preached at during my days at Heritage Christian.  All of this congregations helped shape and model me and helped develop a love for preaching.  It would be great to return.  There are so many memories of days of old in the ground of Nova Scotia.  It will be great to be back again!

    Hello there,

I’m currently wrapping up a study of the end-times on my blog, Reflections on the Christ, at http://chasong.blogspot.com.

There’s been talk of guillotines being imported into the United States and other scary bits of news.

However, I am discussing about them from a prophetic point of view and hoping to stimulate more research and personal study of God’s word and the end times.

If you have the time, feel free to drop by, express your thoughts, and maybe even shed some light for others who come by. I’d be honoured.

    Keep shining.

    Cheers
