Musings on Spiritual Matters

by Matthew Morine

Heart of the Matter

Recently, one of the members of the Castle Rock congregation approached me about a new ministry.  He wanted to produce something to help get the message of the gospel out into the world in a sound bit culture.  On the internet people will not listen to a 30 minute sermon, but will look for quick messages.  He wanted to produce video’s of the sermons in a different format.  This was the background for the “Heart of the Matter.”  These are sermons condensed down to 2 minutes.  We tape these and upload them.  We are hoping that these messages stimulate thought, and perhaps some sharing of the gospel.  These are also helpful in sending to a friend because of the quickness of the lesson.  So far, the response to these videos is excellent.  People seem to enjoy them.  We are still working on some of the ideas behind this work, but everything is going well.  We are excited about the possibilities of this work.  We are hosting this on youtube, and the member has created a facebook page.  So this is the first time I am putting this on my blog.  We want people to use these videos as much as possible.  So check out this new work.
