I am so excited today. We are going on a staff adventure tonight. We are working today in the office and having lunch with one of the members, but this late afternoon we are leaving out to hike four fourteeners in one day. This will be an amazing trip. The mileage is about 7.5 miles, but we will be at high attitude for the majority of the trip. When you are at that high, the pace slows considerably. You are breathing really hard trying to get oxygen into the lungs. It is a hard hike because you are climbing up vertical feet and every step means less air. Also, you have to be quick because you have to be finished and heading down by twelve o’clock because the lighting starts to round in. Being caught is a lighting storm is not a pretty picture because there are no tree and you are mostly the tallest thing around. It will be a great challenge of endurance with speed. Pray for our safety and quick travel.
