Musings on Spiritual Matters

Long Journey Ending

This past week, we have been on Vacation.  While on Vacation we received word that we will be traveling to China.  In the next week or so, we are heading to China to finally meet and adopt officially Asher Morine.  It has been a long two year process, and we are thankful that we were able to finally get travel approval.  We are throwing everything together, and I had to make a couple of calls to inform people that I will not be able to make it.  I was suppose to do a youth rally in Texas, and had to write a sorry, abut thank you for understanding note, because when it is time to travel, you travel.  This is an exciting trip, first of all because we are going to meet Asher in person.  Hard to believe that he is two years old, and we only have pictures, but have never talked to him.  We are also going to get to see China, which should be interesting.  Adopting is scary, hard, and a huge test of faith.  But God has provided and watched out for us, and though this part of the journey is coming to an end, we are starting an even longer one of hopefully raising this young man to be a disciple of Christ.  It is still hard to believe this has all happened, but the reality is fast upon us.  Please be praying for us, as people have all over this nation.  There are a lot of arrangements, but they are coming a long well, especially because of Charity.  I am just thankful that we know the dates now, as it seemed my life has been in limbo for a long time.
