Preaching In Denver

http://pix.epodunk.com/CO/co_castle_rock01.jpgIt is another exciting weekend. Charity and I are going up to Nashville together. In Cool Springs, I have a lunch appointment with Jerrie Barber. I am looking forward to meeting this great minister in the church for the first time. After lunch, Charity and the kids and I will spend some time together, hopefully looking at suits or shopping for the kids. It does not matter to me. Then Charity will drop me off at the airport and I am flying into Denver to meet up with Rory and Dawn for supper. This is a great couple with amazing kids. Then I will meet up with Dale and Jeannie Darby and spend the weekend at their house. I will be hopefully living the good life on Saturday and on Sunday will be preaching for the congregation at Castle Rock. This is a super congregation of the Lord’s people. I have been out there before and I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone again. It will be a blessing to me and hopefully me to them. Please be praying for a successful trip. Hopefully, I will be seeing my friend Lee too. We have some motivational sermons planned as well. Busy, busy, busy, for the Lord. The way it should be.

Denver what a beautiful place. Been through there and only spent a couple of days there. I would love to go to Denver and preach. Let me tell you why I would love to preach there. (1. To preach the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ. (2. About ten to twelve years ago there was a man living there. He grew up in the Florence area. Came from nothing and has gone back there, if you know what I mean. he did well in Denver. He told me (I was a young preacher from the south) that I could not preach in Denver because they talked proper there. Well, I may be a southern bumpkin but they would love a good ol southerner sharing Jesus with them. I do believe that!
