Someone Broke Into the Office
Yesterday, I arrived early to look over the Sunday night lesson. This is my normal habit. As I was walking to the office, a couple of teenagers came with me into the office. They were there early because we were having a fellowship after the services and people were there setting up the fellowship room. As I walked in, I did not notice anything, but than I realized that someone had been in my office. I use to keep my office open at all times, until kids started getting in there and messing everything up. So I now lock it. Someone must have found a key to my room. The person who entered did not do any damage, in fact they left something for me. There was no name attached to it. It was a big package that stated “To Matthew for inspiration and dedication.” OK, what was going to be the joke. It looked like a picture of something framed. I have received pictures here before, the last time it was a Marmot picture. I have had a goat tagged on facebook with my name attached to it. So what was going to be the joke. Fortunately, I had one of the teens open the package, if something scary jumps out, it is going to land on him not me. As he opened the package, it was a huge framed picture of the Colorado Fourteeners. It was beautiful, a perfect gift for me and my office. I loved it. It was a gift of love and appreciation. The best kind of gift of all. It is really nice feeling so loved in this congregation. It was such a wonderful gift, something that I will always cherish. Thank you to the anonymous giver. I appreciate the love.
