Yesterday was the beginning of the end. The last six hours of the Master’s of Divinity program was started. This semester I am finishing up the thesis on 1 Timothy 4:6-16 and I am taking the book of Genesis. I was originally going to take a class on contextualization, but the class was going to be offered over the internet only. This would seem to be advantages to me since I have to travel about 70 miles each way for school. But I am still of the old mindset of enjoying sitting in a classroom. I thought that since I had the thesis writing which was completely an independent affair, I thought it best to add some more structure in the schooling process. I feel good about the choice. The teacher is Clyde Woods. He is a great teacher and man. He really knows his topic and the way that he is teaching Genesis is superb. I am excited about deeper study into this book.

Wow! What a book. When I studied Genesis the whole Bible became so much more alive. It truly is the beginning, the source and the origin.
Have a great last six hours. God bless on your next move. Be sure and stay with the book. There are many to sway you. God bless.
Thank you Sonny. I am like you, Genesis is coming alive.
Genesis is a great book! God bless your study. And congrats on your going to HUGSR to earn your DMIN. I don’t blame you for not liking parcing Greek. Hard stuff. I pray your work blesses you and those you minister to for years to come.
Don’t diss the Greek, Matthew.
I am amazed at how quickly you knock out your coursework. I wish I was as good a multi-tasker.
Good to hear that you’ll be at HUGSR. You will be a “doctor” before you know it. Always remember that D.Min.’s have a very important place in our educational systems. We have done nothing if we are unable to teach students how to minister to others.
Michael, thank you. Also, I hope the church never gets away from allowing experienced ministers to teach future ministers on how to do ministry. There is a big difference in a man with a Ph.D teaching about church ministry who never was a full time minister and a minister who is trained that has the experience. This is one of the best aspects of HCU. The desire for the school to allow experienced men to teach young men. Also, Zack, glad to see you on here. I have missed your comments. Thank you for your prayers.
