At three o’clock today, a group of teen guys, and Steve Curo and I will been leaving to hike Mt. Yale tomorrow. We are going to arrive at the trailhead at 7pm, and spend the night in the woods. Each teen was asked to bring a motivational quote and a Bible verse to share, and explain why this is meaningful to them. For some of these teens, this is the first 14er that they have ever hiked. It should be a huge challenge for them. This retreat is because of a class that Steve and I have been teaching on developing a male Christian identity. We are giving the teens a chance to be wild. It is a 8.75 mile hike with 4300 elevation gain. It is a easy trail at the first, a class 1 but at the top it turns into a class 2. The rocks are slippery too. We are going up hill fast which is really hard because of the lack of CO2. Please pray for us and pray that the teens guys have a great and spiritually uplifting time.
