Musings on Spiritual Matters

Update From Memphis

It seems that I have been in Memphis for a long time.  I really miss the family.  This class is full of hard work on topics that I have little experience with from the past.  Nevertheless, I am learning a lot.  Hard works brings discipline and understanding.  I started the time off with a huge highlight.  I got to eat lunch with Jerrie Barber.  Every time I spend time with this guy I learn a ton of stuff.  One of my favorite comments was, “I am not confused enough to make a decision.”  This is insightful.  I traveled to Memphis after the lunch to stay with the Godley family.  These are some of the best people I know.  I appreciate them letting me have a bedroom.  The class is going well.  I am learning about how to write a dissertation.  There is a ton of background work that has to be done to be focused for this project.  I have enjoyed the lunch time with the fellow students.  I am still trying to workout some and study a lot.  On the weekend, I had a great visit and time preaching for the Waynesboro Church of Christ.  It was a treat to see everyone again.  I little family reunion.  Well, class is starting up again, so I got to go.
