Usually, in the summer, hockey talk is slow around Nashville, but not this year. With all the talk about the Predators being purchased and moving, there seems to be increased attention on the team. Also with the free agency about to open up tomorrow, my eyes and ears are tuned in to the deals. First of all, free agency will not be big for us this year. Unless we pay extra for a player, they will not come to Nashville in the middle of the selling circus. And with the salary cap going so far up, teams will have plenty to spend. We need to get one significant player, and hopefully some role guys. As for the selling, my only hope is that the Predators remain in Nashville. I just want the selling team to end with the result that the Predators are staying in HockeyTonk or Smashville.
