While I was in Nashville yesterday, I stopped by the Border’s Book store in Cool Springs. As I was standing in the religious section, I overheard two teenage boys discussing Star Wars. One of the teens was challenging his friend “ask me to name any star trooper in the movie?” He was bragging that he knew everyone’s actor. So the other teen put him to the test. “The first one coming in the Death Star?” “Mike so and so”, he answered. The game continued for a while, without the teen having problems. All I could think was “what a nerd!” Not that I dislike Star Wars, but this was too much. But than I got thinking as I stood in the religious section, maybe we do this in Christianity. Someone that has a little interest we turn off in trying to showcase our great knowledge of the faith. “Name me a quote in the Bible and I will tell you the verse” mindset. This experience taught me to talk at the level of interest to pre-Christians.

Wow I just finished watching Return of the Jedi for the 9 millionth time. I could have answer any of those questions.
One criticism for George Lucas: How many times can “don’t underestimate my/the . . . .” be used in a movie? Had Tolkien written it, the dialogue would be much better.
