Top Seven Things to be Thankful For in 2007

304120801_850b75239b.jpgAs Thanksgiving is tomorrow, I thought it might be time to list the top seven things that I am thankful for in 2007. Instead of making this a super long list, it seemed wise to limit the thankfulness to seven, since it is 2007.

1. A God that still loves me, provides for me, and still forgives me. My Lord is gracious and kind. Ultimately, He is the source of every item on this list, and all praise is due His Name.

2. The birth of my first son, and second child–Noah Matthew Morine. He was born on Father’s Day, June 17th. He is precious and healthy.

3. My beautiful and godly wife–Charity Morine. She is a ever constant companion and friend. There is no one else on earth that I enjoy spending my time with more than her. God gave her to me, and she is my treasure.

4. The church that I work with in Waynesboro, this includes my elders, deacons, and all the members. This congregation does not mistreat me, but ever loves me and my family. We are blessed to have a wonderful church home.

5. My friend Burnice Wesbrooks. He is a constant friend and helper in my ministry. The Lord placed him in my life to mold me. My fellowship with him is a taste of fellowship in heaven.

6. My family vacations. We had the blessing of getting away to two amazing places. We went to Disney World which my daughter loved and still talks about. Her joy is my joy. Also we went to gulf shores with my parents, it was a time of relaxations and refreshment. We are also going home to Canada for the first time in 6 years.

7. And finally the Nashville Predators, my hockey team is staying in Nashville. Hockey is what feeds me. As I play it in the backyard with the nephews or skate with the stick and roller blades by myself, my heart is taken back to my upbringing. It refreshes me.
